WIKI'S

Had already reported on this (see earlier reference to finding something interesting).
Anyway checked out SJCPL subject guides, Book Lovers wiki, and Library Success and found all to be very interesting and would prove quite useful.

Probably the main downside of wiki's would be the lack of control, if you set one up it is open to additions and editing from other people. Some people would find this a good thing.

Libraries can use these, i.e. Princeton public library book lovers. Can be used for discussion groups, book lists, subject guides, etc.

web 2.0 and library 2.0 further...

the state library and other libraries can make use of these tools so that they can reach more people and provide access to the library and its services in different formats.

library 2.0 and web 2.0

invaluable to help show and explain new technologies.
Helps us to keep abreast of changes and how we can integrate them into our work and home life.

feeds

Looked at these, found technorati easy to use, as well as Google Blog search tool.
Found topix quite useful, seeing it is Australian.
Also looked at EBSCO ANZ Reference Centre to find magazine articles.

I have done it! Bloglines
